What to expect

The Northern Cape is home to the renowned Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, one of the world’s largest conservation areas and one of the last truly unspoilt ecosystems on the planet – perfect for the wildlife enthusiast. The Northern Cape also boasts distinct cultural experiences, a colourful history, and is home to the San people, who still practice their ancient ways of life. 

At Vischgat Game Lodge you can enjoy a 2-hour lunch break followed by a 4 x 4 drive on pre-defined tracks, with various grades to choose from. At Loch Broom Paradys Lodge you’ll hit the trail for some 4 x 4 driving on pre-defined tracks – and yet again; there are various grades to choose from as well as some delightful poolside relaxation, a guided walk and a game drive. 

Head out to do some game tracking at Dreghorn Kalahari Game Ranch, visit the inquisitive characters at Kalahari Trails Nature Reserve & Meerkat Sanctuary and interact with the furry inhabitants, be thrilled with some dune boarding on the red dunes of the Kalahari and treat yourself to a sundowners on the dunes at Loch Maree Guest Farm.
